It is dots galore for Louis Vuitton this summer as the collaboration between Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusami, hits stores. The artist’s signature polka-dot motif has been applied to a collection of ready-to-wear and accessories that will be out in stores July 10th and also to a selection of monogrammed LV bags that will debut in the Fall.
If this collection is a bit out of your price range, you can always check out the Yayoi Kusami retrospective at the Whitney Museum in New York City from July 20-September 30, 2012.

LVMH does it again.

Two of my favorite looks from an upcoming editorial shot in my home island of Curaçao. The fashion set on the island is finally stepping their game up! I am especially impressed by the model’s poses. She has confidence and personality. The first look reminds me of Rihanna. The second look juxtaposes the traditional Catholic church with the modern day chicness of the island woman. She is fierce, yet holds onto her virtues. The styling is also impeccable, though I would have preferred a pop of neon in the outfit to make it more believable. I’m putting myself to the test by taking one suitcase to China for my six month Oriental escapade.
More is less, and shopping in Hong Kong is, supposedly, the best.
Did I mention I’m scared out of my wits?
I don’t know what I’m throwing myself into… but that’s the fun of it.
